In the protest drumming workshop we will introduce young people to a different way of expressing disagreement or support for a certain social issue. Participants will learn about active citizenship through music. Fabijan leads them step by step in creating a rhythm in a group with the purpose of reaching coherence and building a common energy, as expressed through group drumming inspired by Brazilian samba, African rhythms, and contemporary dance music. Nowadays, protest drumming is a well-known element of street protests.
